A Canvas is to small for a person. Any person. It's to flat, far to restricted. Nevertheless Icon Portraits outlive their models. Sometimes the models never mattered in the first place, they had no name to start with. But, while pressing the human Body ( my own) unto a Canvas, indeed the Artist starts to speak. I didn't really know why I started this experiment.
I experienced a cold winter. I had issues on my mind far to complex to even talk about. I felt threatened. I felt accused. Society turned to have a conflict with me and I had to defend myself and my family against this threat. How do you feel when you try to make a point towards Society, Institutions, the Gouvernement and its ruling? Live can become Kafkaesk. And this, like in a Kafka novel makes you doubt yourself. It's the first thing you do...doubt yourself. Because, Society and the rulings of society stand so strong, they don't tolerate any doubt. It takes courage to replace this doubt, out of yourself, on to them. If you do, you are David challenging Goliath. Do you really want to get that far?
Leaving a conversation in serious doubt. Thinking: " Am I going crazy? Why does nobody seem to notice we all are turning into Rino's ?" Sharing my personal space with an Elephant on a daily basis. In de midst of it, I was to scared to reflect on it. But I seem to have made it out of this situation ( for now) and I WANT to reflect on it.
What happend...it doesn't matter. The fact that it CAN Happen, to everybody, and Society seems to accept the routine of labeling dissidents as being crazy, is alarming. Be ware of Society as a judging mechanism and notice the parameters are shifting closer. The space to be different, live differently is getting more narrow every day.
The first reflections of the situation is about the movement. Society getting threatening and getting closer. Being "Observed" and "Monitored". Under a judging microscope and lying still, while this is happening. Not knowing what to do.
